FIRE!

What I received last night turned out to be a disaster. This is what I saw 8 AM while going to school. Literally, classes were suspended on the main campus while on the Basak campus, classes is a go.I interviewed on vendor which is a friend of mine, the fire started at around 8 last night. The cause? Either faulty wiring or an overheated air conditioning unit. The store where the shoes and clothes were burned down, also with the internet cafe, and the spare parts dealer. The whole second floor went down to the ground. At around 9 AM, I spotted a fire inside the store.

As the fire blazed relentlessly, one lady tipped one of the vendors that there is an LPG tank in a stall. “Naa’y LPG tank diha. Mo buto jud na!”, the lady vendor told the others. One guy confirmed that all LPG tanks are in a safe place but, as they opened the stall, they found out that there is an LPG tank. One vendor moved it to a safe place. 9:15 AM, the Cebu Chinese-Filipino Volunteer Fire Brigade arrived at the scene and they tried to contain the blazing fire. It took 45 minutes for a BFP fire truck to enter the scene.

My classmates and I left the scene at around 10:30 AM.

Camotes Island 2010

I don’t know how to spend my New Year so my mom and I took the chance to spend it on Camotes Island. It’s a 2 hours ferry boat ride or 3 hours pump boat ride from Cebu. It’s a good vacation getaway specially when you want it remotely. I’ve been on this island many times already. Times has changed on the island. It’s like every year, there’s something new. New resorts, new spots, or new progress. Still, nothing beats the fiesta every May. All foods broke lose.. LOL.

Anyway, we only stayed there overnight. And the place never cease to amaze me.

For Costomers only? Why? Do they cost anything?

I just encountered this wall print along Podomo Street. I mean, do customers “cost” anything?

And the truth is...

Probably you are wondering whether this post is something that sentiments whether the truth in what I’ve said is true or not.

Actually, that was something that I thought of during the past days.. Last night, I got a text message from a friend while I was taking my dinner asking me why I don’t like to stay here anymore. I replied to her that there is a big difference between my previous and present school. While we had those short text conversations, the thought of going back sank in me again.

Is it really worth it to transfer back again? Early decisions my not last. I may say it’s not worth it since I would work things out. I could study hard, overload some subjects, practice a lot of patience, and such.

Or, I would go back, get my 3 pending subjects, be regular the next semester, be a Senior and work hard.

Then again, I am thinking again whether is it really worth it or not. There is something in Lapu-Lapu City that I am bailing upon. Or something that prompted me to stay here in Cebu.

Or is it that I just misssed Internet and that might be the answer to all my problems.

Maybe.. Just maybe..

Maybe it's just..

Yesterday, I made a grave mistake. I chose to run rather than to attend. It was a fail part within me. My stupid brain reacting on something not worth than it looks.

Here’s the story:

Yesterday after my MC Elect A class, me and my friend went immediately to MS (Mass Com Studio) to meet with the other fellas. Well, to dig in to what happened earlier, my friend asked me a favor if I could bring some flowers to someone’s house. There’s nothing wrong with helping someone anyway, so I gave it a shot.

After lunch with the fellas, we went solo. We dropped by Freedom Park to buy some flowers. Those were yellow roses in particular. Then we rode a 04H jeepney. It was raining by the way, good thing I brought my Lagalag round hat, those used in mountain climbing. Upon reaching the destination, the rain is starting to gain strength but were still OK.

My friend told me to bring those flowers to the said house. We knocked.. And knocked.. And knocked. Finally, there’s a lady who answered our knocked asking what we came for. We would like to drop the flowers actually and get the hell out of there. Well, that didn’t happen.

We the lady approached us, I gave her the flowers and you know what she said? “Kamo ha..”

OK..

At least we tried.

Anyway, I made a grave mistake.. I didn’t attend the 8th novena that day. I chose to run rather to attend. And I just witnessed a miracle in my entire life.

Waves in Lapu-Lapu City

Those were some of the waves somewhere in Punta Engano, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu..I know, they are not that “huge” but they can any way be terrifying specially when you are just riding a pump boat. But those drivers are too experienced to be scared in the first place. This is just a repost from Facebook. The album can be found here.

Gold for rocks

It’s not my first encounter of a student who traded golds for rocks (right JJ?). Why would a student trade golds for rocks? I mean, it’s his/her future and why would he/she waste it?

The first time I encountered students like that was back in Ateneo. Someone just dropped the subjects during the midterms. I don’t what really happened back there. Either busy with schedules or maybe the student is just busy with something else. But why did the student do that? Beats me.. Maybe the student grew tired of school. Or maybe she is doing something else (in our dialect, that’s what we call “sideline”.

And I thought education is key to the future. Geezz… What the heck.
And I thought the youth are key to the future.. What the heck either…

A friend of mine sent me a text message a while ago telling me that she would withdraw her subjects.. I really don’t know the reason.. I thought that was some kind of a joke but that was for real. I tried to ask her for a reason but she didn’t replied.

Traded golds for rocks? Maybe.. And it’s not funny either. I’m not gonna sermon about something or mumble/rumble something else.

A rare Christmas misfit

I don’t know about the title..I really can’t think of any..

Anyway, guess I’ll be spending my Christmas (which lapsed 3 days) and New Year here in my new home town, Cebu. That’s what I hate about holidays, air fare and ship fare will shoot high that your pockets will be complaining on hlow really deep is your pocket. I guess I have no choice about it. I’m still offline right now. It sucks how you spend your money on Internet Cafes and you can’t do whatever you want.. Except of course of playing games.
